Paweł Pawlikowski
Born in Warsaw, he is a Polish filmmaker renowned for his distinctive visual style and narrative depth. After moving to the UK, he studied literature and philosophy at Oxford. His early career involved documentary filmmaking for the BBC. Transitioning to feature films, he gained international acclaim with "Ida" (2013), winning the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His subsequent film, "Cold War" (2018), further cemented his reputation, earning numerous awards including Best Director at Cannes.
