Born on July 20, 1957, in Alexandria, Virginia, she is an American actress and former beauty queen. She gained fame in the 1980s, starring in popular films such as "Doctor Detroit" and "Spies Like Us." Before her acting career, she was crowned Miss Virginia USA in 1976 and Miss Washington D.C. World in 1977. She attended George Washington University. She married actor Dan Aykroyd in 1983, with whom she shares three daughters. Her career slowed in the late 1990s as she stepped back from acting.
