Beryl Reid
Born in 1919, she was a renowned British actress celebrated for her versatility on stage and screen. She began her career in radio and music halls before transitioning to television and film. Her breakthrough role came with "The Belles of St. Trinian's" in 1954. She received acclaim for performances in "The Killing of Sister George" and "Entertaining Mr. Sloane." Known for her wit and skill in both comedic and dramatic roles, she was honored with a BAFTA and a Tony Award nomination. She passed away in 1996.
