Richard Stanley
Born in 1966 in South Africa, he is a filmmaker known for his distinctive style blending horror, science fiction, and mysticism. He gained recognition with his debut feature "Hardware" (1990), followed by "Dust Devil" (1992). His career faced setbacks during the troubled production of "The Island of Dr. Moreau" (1996), from which he was famously removed. After a hiatus, he returned with the H.P. Lovecraft adaptation "Color Out of Space" (2019), marking a significant comeback.
