Menahem Golan
Born in 1929 in Tiberias, he was a prolific Israeli film director and producer, instrumental in the global expansion of Israeli cinema. Co-founding Cannon Films with his cousin Yoram Globus, he was pivotal in producing numerous 1980s action films and cult classics, including "The Delta Force" and "Bloodsport." His career spanned over five decades, during which he directed, produced, or wrote over 200 films. Known for his passion and tenacity, he received several accolades, including an Oscar nomination.
