Born in 1982 in Hanford, California, he developed an early interest in animation, leading him to study at the California Institute of the Arts. During his time there, he produced short films that gained attention. His career began at Cartoon Network, where he contributed to "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" before launching his own successful series.
