Born on January 21, 1967, he is a Japanese film director and son of the renowned animator Hayao Miyazaki. Initially pursuing a career in landscape architecture, he later transitioned to animation. He made his directorial debut with "Tales from Earthsea" in 2006, followed by "From Up on Poppy Hill" in 2011. Known for his work with Studio Ghibli, he also directed the animated series "Ronja, the Robber's Daughter." His films often explore themes of family, nature, and coming-of-age.
