Fleeing WWII to the U.S., he transitioned from child to adult roles, notably appearing in "Lassie Come Home" and "My Friend Flicka." Renowned for his role as Cornelius in the "Planet of the Apes" series, he balanced film, TV, and stage work over his extensive career. A talented photographer and avid collector, he contributed significantly to the arts until his passing in 1998.
