Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Connecticut, this actor is best known for his comedic roles on television. He gained prominence in the 1980s with the sitcom "Perfect Strangers," where he portrayed Larry Appleton. A Yale School of Drama graduate, he has also appeared on Broadway, including in the original production of "Doonesbury" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."
