We Are Little Zombies follows four grieving children who form a rock band after their parents die in a roadside accident. They travel across Japan, creating a macabre, playful odyssey that blends black humor, surreal imagery, and childlike imagination to process loss. Directed by Makoto Nagahisa, the film uses fast-paced montage, vivid colors, and a punk soundtrack to explore memory, friendship, and the uncertain path to adulthood. It premiered at Sundance 2019.
