Up in the Air is a 2009 American comedy-drama film directed by Jason Reitman. The film stars George Clooney as a corporate downsizing expert whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles. Along the way, he meets and becomes romantically involved with a fellow frequent flyer played by Vera Farmiga.
