There Is No Evil is a 2020 Iranian anthology drama directed by Mohammad Rasoulof. The film comprises four episodes that each follow individuals confronted with murder orders or moral defiance within an authoritarian system, interrogating obedience, guilt, and personal responsibility. Through spare, sunlit landscapes and restrained performances, Rasoulof crafts a stark, meditative critique of capital punishment and state power. It won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
