The Last Kingdom is a historical drama television series based on Bernard Cornwell's The Saxon Stories series of novels. Set in the late 9th century AD, the series follows the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, a Saxon noble who is captured and raised by Vikings. As he navigates the clashing worlds of Vikings and Saxons, Uhtred must choose where his loyalties lie and fight to reclaim his ancestral lands.
