Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a 2015 American epic space opera film directed by J.J. Abrams. It is the seventh installment in the Star Wars saga and takes place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. The film follows Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron as they join the Resistance in the fight against the sinister First Order, led by Kylo Ren and Supreme Leader Snoke.
