Speed 2: Cruise Control is a 1997 action thriller film directed by Jan de Bont. It is a sequel to the 1994 film Speed. The film follows Annie Porter and her new boyfriend, Alex Shaw, aboard a luxury cruise ship that is hijacked by a computer hacker. As the ship speeds out of control, Annie and Alex must work together to stop the hacker's plan and prevent disaster. Despite its high-octane premise, the film received mixed reviews and was considered less successful than its predecessor.
