During their travels in Unova, Ash, Iris, and Cilan meet a mysterious and powerful Genesect awakened by a scientist's discovery. When the rampaging Pokémon clashes with a city, the friends learn about an ancient legend linked to Genesect and its true origin. As battles erupt, they must unite with old rivals, decipher the creature's history, and find a way to restore balance before the legend becomes a catastrophe for the region.
