Pain & Gain is a dark comedy crime film based on the true story of the Sun Gym gang, a group of bodybuilders in Miami who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion, and murder in the 1990s. The film follows Daniel Lugo, a gym trainer who dreams of living the American Dream and recruits fellow bodybuilders Adrian Doorbal and Paul Doyle to pursue their criminal ambitions. As their plans spiral out of control, the film explores themes of ambition, greed, and the darker side of the pursuit of success.
