Lake Placid is a 1999 American horror comedy film directed by Steve Miner. The movie follows a group of people who investigate a series of mysterious deaths in a small town lake, only to discover a giant and aggressive crocodile lurking in the waters. As they try to solve the mystery and survive the creature's attacks, they must confront their own fears and face the deadly predator head-on.
