Honeyland follows Hatidze Muratova, a meticulous beekeeper in rural North Macedonia, as she tends wild bee colonies and teaches her young neighbor how to live with nature. When a nomadic family moves into her valley, their incompatible habits threaten a fragile ecosystem and Hatidze’s elderly mother. The film observes daily rituals with quiet, intimate realism, exploring tradition, resourcefulness, and the precarious balance between human needs and the land, bees, and seasonality.
