Elfen Lied is a Japanese anime series that revolves around the story of Lucy, a mutant with telekinetic abilities, known as a Diclonius. After escaping from a research facility, Lucy loses her memory and is taken in by two kindhearted locals, Kouta and Yuka. As Lucy's violent past catches up with her, the trio becomes embroiled in a conflict between government forces and other mutants, exploring themes of identity, prejudice, and the human condition.
