Dallas Buyers Club is a biographical drama film that tells the story of Ron Woodroof, a Texas electrician and rodeo cowboy who is diagnosed with AIDS in the mid-1980s. Facing a prognosis of 30 days to live, he refuses to accept the death sentence and seeks out alternative therapies. Along the way, he forms an unlikely partnership with fellow AIDS patient Rayon, and they establish a 'buyers club' to provide unapproved but effective treatments to others suffering from the disease.
