And Then We Danced follows Merab, a disciplined dancer in Tbilisi's national ballet school, who dreams of becoming a principal. His carefully ordered life is upended when Irakli, a gifted new dancer, arrives and they form a forbidden, passionate bond. Caught between tradition, family expectations and his own desires, Merab must decide who he is and what he’s willing to risk for art and love.
