A Nightmare on Elm Street is a 1984 American supernatural slasher film directed by Wes Craven. The story follows a group of teenagers who are stalked and killed in their dreams by Freddy Krueger, a disfigured man wearing a glove armed with razors. As the teenagers struggle to stay awake, they uncover the truth behind Krueger's existence and must find a way to defeat him before he kills them all.
