Stephen Chbosky
An American filmmaker, he is best known for writing and directing "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," based on his own novel. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he studied film at the University of Southern California. Early in his career, he wrote the screenplay for "Rent." He co-created the TV series "Jericho" and directed movies like "Wonder" and "Dear Evan Hansen." His work often explores themes of adolescence, identity, and belonging.
