Born on June 2, 1972, in Chipping Norton, England, he was raised in Brooklyn, New York. An accomplished scholar, he graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English Literature. He gained fame for his role as Michael Scofield in the television series "Prison Break," which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Beyond acting, he is also a screenwriter, known for "Stoker." An advocate for mental health and LGBTQ+ rights, he publicly came out as gay in 2013.
