Born in Epsom, Surrey, in 1970, he began his acting career at age 11, portraying an Ewok in "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi." He gained fame for his roles in the "Leprechaun" series and as Professor Flitwick and Griphook in the "Harry Potter" films. A versatile actor with a talent for both comedic and dramatic roles, he also starred in "Willow" and "The Chronicles of Narnia." Beyond acting, he founded Willow Management, an agency representing actors under 5 feet tall, and is an advocate for disability representation in the arts.
