Ruth Hussey
Born on October 30, 1911, in Providence, Rhode Island, she was an accomplished American actress known for her elegant and sophisticated roles. She gained fame for her performance in "The Philadelphia Story" (1940), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. With a career spanning from the late 1930s to the early 1960s, she appeared in numerous films and stage productions. She retired from acting to focus on family life and passed away on April 19, 2005.
