A Namibian bush farmer of the San people, he rose to international fame as the star of "The Gods Must Be Crazy" (1980). Discovered by filmmaker Jamie Uys, he portrayed a Kalahari bushman whose life changes after encountering a Coca-Cola bottle. Despite his global success, he remained humble, preferring his traditional lifestyle. He appeared in a few sequels and other films before retiring. He passed away in 2003, leaving behind a legacy as a unique bridge between cultures.
