Michael Rennie
Born on August 25, 1909, in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, he was a British actor renowned for his tall, imposing presence and distinctive voice. He gained international fame for his role as the alien Klaatu in the classic science fiction film "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951). Initially working in his family's wool business, he transitioned to acting in the 1930s, appearing in numerous British films before moving to Hollywood. He continued acting in films and television until his death in 1971.
