Mai Zetterling
Born in Sweden in 1925, she began her career as a stage actress before transitioning to film in the 1940s. She gained international recognition with her role in "Frenzy" (1944). Moving to the UK, she appeared in several British films, working alongside notable directors. In the 1960s, she shifted focus to directing, earning acclaim for her work behind the camera. Her films often explored complex themes and were celebrated at film festivals. She continued to act and direct until her passing in 1994.
