Louise Fletcher
An American actress born on July 22, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, she achieved critical acclaim for her role as the formidable Nurse Ratched in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975), earning an Academy Award for Best Actress. Raised by deaf parents, she learned to communicate through sign language. Throughout her career, she appeared in various films and TV shows, including "Flowers in the Attic" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". She passed away on September 23, 2022.
