Born on August 27, 1995, in Brighton, England, she grew up in Redhill, Surrey. Of English and Chinese descent, she studied at the National Youth Theatre and Identity School of Acting. Her breakthrough role came as Alina Starkov in Netflix's series "Shadow and Bone," which premiered in 2021. Prior to acting, she worked as an English teaching assistant. Passionate about representation, she advocates for diversity in the arts. Her stage work includes a role in "All About Eve" alongside Gillian Anderson.
