An Australian actor and director, he gained international recognition with his role in the film "Muriel's Wedding" (1994). Trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, he has since built a diverse career in film, television, and theatre. Notable works include appearances in "Zero Dark Thirty," "Double Jeopardy," and the television series "Black Mirror." He is also known for his stage performances in London's West End. Married to actress Fay Ripley, they have two children.
