Born in 1966 in Wimbledon, London, he grew up surrounded by the film industry, being the son of film director John Boorman. He began acting as a child, appearing in his father's films. Best known for his adventurous spirit, he gained international fame through his travel documentaries alongside Ewan McGregor, including "Long Way Round" and "Long Way Down." Aside from acting, he is an avid motorcyclist and travel writer, often exploring and documenting remote parts of the world.
